May 20th // Day 126 // Mirrorgram

This week we’re looking at a basic camera called Mirrorgram.

This quick loading app takes you directly to the camera. You have basic controls such as flash settings, tap to focus, front/back cam flip, mirror preview, or you can choose to load an image from your camera roll.

Once you have your image of choice you can play with the various mirror options. Vertical, horizontal, diagonal, and two purchasable ones called rerezzed and shredder which makes a four way kaleidoscope effect and three way vertical mirror effects respectively.

You also have a choice of filters you can apply which aren’t too bad but are not the best quality I’ve seen.

One thing that isn’t clear is, the two additional mirror effects and a few filters you can buy are listed at $0.99 but it doesn’t explain if that’s for each individually or if its one pack for all.

At any rate, before to go share one last effect you can do is a circular or linear selective blur. I wasn’t able to figure out if there was a way to adjust the blur at all.

When you’re finished editing, the next screen allows you to caption your image, add a #mirrorgram hash tag, and share to Facebook, twitter, Instagram, or something called Stagebloc (never heard of this one!). And lastly you can toggle Save to device on or off.

And that’s it! So I guess, enjoy the next few days of images. They aren’t all that impressive!

About Dave Wilson

I R Photog! Make Purdy Peectoors! Seriously though, I'm a photographer of many disciplines based in Edmonton, Alberta. I just love a great image, whether it's a penny on a sheet of ice or a $100,000 wedding ceremony or a puppy jumping for a frisbee.
