April 14th // Day 90 // King Camera

So last week I covered Camera Awesome by Smug Mug.

This week I’ll be playing around with King Camera!

Interestingly, when you load it up it is designed to be used vertically. There’s nice quick toggles along the left side and the camera flipper an zoom scroller on the right side. None of these go away and when you rotate to landscape mode they do not adjust. Not a huge deal, just an observation.

There’s a good number of controls, but too often, it’s difficult to get back to the camera to do more shooting.

It has a fair number of editing options to keep you busy, but as stated earlier, it’s sometimes hard to get back to the camera. Awesomely, compared to Camera Awesome, it’s Promatik mode not only allows you adjust the levels of effects, but lets you save your own combinations! One sad part though, the textures don’t let you change their angles so can only be out down one way. Hopefully they’ll change that.

About Dave Wilson

I R Photog! Make Purdy Peectoors! Seriously though, I'm a photographer of many disciplines based in Edmonton, Alberta. I just love a great image, whether it's a penny on a sheet of ice or a $100,000 wedding ceremony or a puppy jumping for a frisbee.
